A MESSAGE FROM DISCOVERY BALL LEADERSHIP
As a public health organization, The American Cancer Society is committed to the well-being of all communities -- especially cancer patients and care-givers who are central to our mission. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the decision to pivot from the Discovery Ball live event on April 18th to a more virtual approach. This decision reaffirms our commitment to the safety of our attendees, staff, and volunteers especially those with compromised immune systems and currently battling cancer.
Now, more than ever, we need your support to #ContinueMission to attack cancer from every angle. Cancer doesn’t quit… and neither will the American Cancer Society.
Here’s the general plan:
Virtual Auction – Will begin in mid-April and feature a wide array of exciting options ranging in value from $100 - $20,000. This unique opportunity will be available to sponsors and invited guests.
Mission Giving (Paddle-Raise) – Donors will have the opportunity to virtually give and be recognized for their personal contribution to our life-saving mission.
Exclusive VIP Summer Celebration – To honor our committed sponsors and VIP guests, we are developing a mid-summer event which will provide an executive networking opportunity in an intimate setting.
Discovery Ball Chairs – Godard Abel (G2) and Tyler Prince (Salesforce) will continue as Chairs for 2020.
Your continued support in 2020 is the cornerstone of our efforts to fund our life-saving mission. Cancer patients, caregivers, survivors, and researchers need our support. Your ACS Relationship Manager will follow up with you directly with additional details.
With your unwavering commitment, we can #ContinueMission.
